The Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center in Shawnee, Okla., is hosting the 2011 International Finals Youth Rodeo for high-schoolers this week.
For almost a decade, Drysdales has set up a booth on the Expo’s grounds during the event. Here’s a video about the rodeo and the specials we have for athletes and rodeo fans alike:
There’s still time to check out rodeo performances. Sessions are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Although Oklahoma is going through a heat wave, the shaded grandstand is made even cooler by a misting system. The Expo’s website also keeps track of scores at the end of each day.
So, if you’re in central Oklahoma, you may want to check out the IFYR. And here are two reasons to check out the Drysdales booth as well – specials that will probably cover the cost of your ticket, and it’s in an air-conditioned building.
