Preparations for Drydales Spring Tent Sale

in Behind the Scenes,Promotions & Specials

The spring Tent Sale is still more than two days away, but Drysdales’ retail stores still have to get ready for it.

At mid-morning Tuesday at the 32nd Street and Memorial Drive store in Tulsa, employees from a tent-rental company were busy erecting the big tent in the parking lot. This task usually requires two to three hours.

Meanwhile, at the parking lot of Drysdales’ 71st Street and U.S. Highway 169 store, the only sign of an imminent Tent Sale is an area marked off by yellow caution tape. The same tent-rental firm will show up later in the day.

However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t work to be done. Here, electricians use cement to help protect a shield for electric cables that will be run to the tent.

On Wednesday, Drysdales employees will start to fill the tent with merchandise.

The Tent Sale begins at both locations at 9 a.m. Thursday and runs through March 27. We’ll have more details about this event later in the week.
